Vault Tip: Vault Paging Size
Posted on March 22, 2018 by Synergis Vault Application Specialist, Joe Corson
Are you tired of clicking the ‘More’ button when you want to see more search results, Items, or Change Orders? Is 100 search results not enough to show? Want to see 200, 500, or 1,000 results at a time? Changing the paging value will increase, or decrease, the number of rows of data shown. You can set it anywhere between 25 and 1,000.
By default the value is set at 100. In previous years changing the number would severely decrease performance when searching. This is not true anymore. With the newer releases of Vault and the much faster performing servers the paging size can be set to the max at 1,000 with little to no performance hit at all.
I am going to show how an Administrator of your Vault can change the paging size. You will need to have access to the Vault server and have admin privileges to the Vault ADMS Console.
In the ADMS Console go Tools – Administration.
On the Advanced Settings tab click on the Paging button
In here you can change the page size from 25 to 1,000.
The next search that is performed will show approximately the amount you set. Some searches could show a few more results than the paging size it set to.
