Synergis Goes Red for Women

Here at Synergis we have 13 company values. The last two are to give back and have fun, so we thought there was no better way than to participate in the American Heart Association’s campaign Go Red for Women. The Synergis Give Back Committee, a group of Synergites from different teams that organizes our give back initiatives, even offered to wear red dresses if we raised enough money and had enough people wear red on February 6. Here is part of the committee:

We thank the members for their courage and dedication to women’s health.  Here are some additional photos from our office on February 6 – Go Red for Women.

Women are strong. Women are smart. Women solve problems.  Women can do anything men can do.  And, there are some things they are even better at — dying of heart disease and stroke.  Like breaking barriers?  Go Red! And help break the one against heart disease.  It’s not a man’s disease. Each year, 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke.  But we can change that because 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.

For over a decade the AMA has made tremendous strides with their annual National Wear Red Day — the first Friday each February — is the special day to bring attention to this staggering fact.  We encourage everyone to wear red, raise their voices, know their cardiovascular risk and take action to live longer, healthier lives.
