As Daylight Savings comes to an end it is a friendly reminder for us to check and replace our batteries in our smoke detectors. However this article is not about smoke detector batteries but about your Vault backups. So I have a simple question for you.

Are you checking to confirm your Vault backups are occurring?

If not or you assume they are, I highly suggest you put a plan in place to confirm backups are occurring. Even if the responsibility lies with another individual or a group, simply ask them. Most time Vault backups run without incident. But there are times when it fails and no backup occurs.

In the end, no one wants to deal with lost data but it will happen at some point. So is your Company prepared?

Although disaster recovery plans are not covered under the Synergis Helpdesk contact, our Engineering Design Solution team can assist you in developing a Vault disaster recovery plan. For additional information, contact us or ask an expert.

Until next time…
